I've turn into a night owl recently! Working hard on a very special project! I will be announcing it soon, so please stay tuned...
Ah! Those dreaded dark circles...you think you're fine until you look into a mirror! It usually appears when you haven't had enough sleep or from bad blood circulation. Parsley is a healthy herb to eat in salads like Lebanese tabbouleh, but it is also wonderful when applied on your skin, especially for dark under eye circles!
Those circles appear when the fatty layer of the skin thins out, which makes the bluish veins more visible. The slighly bluish color you see are the illusions of the dark circles under your eyes. For our benefit parsley is rich in chlorophyll, vitamin C & vitamin K - when it's applied on the skin, it reduces puffiness and lightens the skin, therefore less bluish dark circles. Yay! The ginseng tea (applied on the skin) is an antioxidant and a stimulant which gives your dark circles a boost and brightens up the dullness. Phew! Thank goodness!
I've heard about this wonderful secret from Elie's aunt, Gisele. She told me she used left over parsley from tabbouleh to get rid of her dark circles. I remembered her telling me this and thought I'd give it a try!
Now, just sit back & relax!
I left it on for 10 minutes and let it air dry. Let your skin soak up all the juices from the parsley and ginseng. This is a great mask, it's cooling and very hydrating. I've done this twice now and seen good results. I like this so much that I may make more and keep it in the fridge for the rest of the week.
Like all things in skincare, it's in the routine and mostly vigilance. It's really important to set up a good routine that is best suit for your skin needs. Slow and steady wins the race!
Oh, the man with those handsome charcoal eyebrows is Elie. He enjoyed his mini facial very much.
Shhh...but you didn't hear it from me! ;)
Wow ! Thanks
