Wait a minute! Before you make another call or answer the phone. Please take the time to read this. Have you ever had breakouts along your jawline or cheeks and wondered where it came from? Holding your phone against your cheek for a long period of time traps oil in the pores, which can lead to...acne! Trust me, I'm talking from first hand experience. It wasn't pretty! When I found out what caused them, I freaked out and began cleaning everything that touched my face on a daily basis.
You can avoid cellphone breakouts by:
1. Using a headset that doesn't touch your face.
2. Using a cleansing towel to quickly wipe off the sweat, after a long phone call.
3. Cleaning your phone.
Now, the best way to clean your cellphone is with...vinegar! It's a wonderful natural cleaning agent. I love to use vinegar for pretty much everything. I love the smell, it almost instantaneously makes my mouth water and I crave fresh cut fries with malt vinegar! Vinegar (be it white, malt or rosemary infused) is about 5% acetic acid. It's the acid that kills the bacteria by chemically changing the proteins and fats.
What you'll need to clean your phone:
1 sheet of paper towel
2 tbsp of vinegar
1 toothpick
1 cotton swab
I take a sheet of paper towel, soak it in white vinegar. Drain the excess with my hand. (make sure you get most of it out, you don't want to get vinegar into your phone!) I wipe down the whole phone - even taking the phone case apart to get the inside. After I dip the cotton swab in vinegar to touch up the smaller areas I couldn't get to with my hands. If you do not own a touch screen cellphone, I would use a toothpick, wrapping the sheet around the pick. This way you are able to go between each keys on the pad. *note: you may want to do this often or you may be surprised to see how much could actually build up in there! eeek
I hope this was helpful! ;)
