It's Monday! If you went out last night and had a little too much to drink, well, I've got the potion for you. It's the three G's (Ginger Ginseng Grapefruit) Remedy. Here's the recipe (makes 2 servings):
4 cups of water
3 inches of ginger (sliced & diced)
2 ginseng tea bags
1 wedge of lemon
4 tbs of honey
1 grapefruit/grapefruit juice
In a medium small sized pot, bring the water to a boil. Add the Ginger, Ginseng and lemon. Let it boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Let it sit for another minute then add the honey. Pour the tea through a strainer into your cup. After you've finished your tea you must move on the last and final G - Grapefruit. If you don't have the fruit on hand, make sure to always keep a jug of the juice. Here's how each ingredient helps your body:
Ginger: settles upset stomach & nausea
Ginseng Tea: gives you energy & soothes upset stomach
Grapefruit: restores your electrolytes balance & keeps you from becoming dehydrated
Lemon: reduces headaches & alkalizes the body
Honey: soothes a sore throat & helps your body metabolize alcohol
Now, you can relax & enjoy...and allow the Three G's to work its magic!

I find that smoothie with banana, strwbarry, blueberry, carrot, tomato, ginger, almonds and water is the best cure for hangovers.
