Ahoy matey!
Sometimes, it just great to step away from all the wedding frenzy and treat yourself to a lovely mini facial!
With The Great Canadian Winter a brewin' my skin has been feeling dry, rough and also experiencing a bit of breakouts from the change in season (I feel like my skin wants to sweat it out but it doesn't get a chance - so the dirt and oil builds up and forms pimples! ewww).
Ever wonder how soft your skin was after swimming in the ocean? Well, sea salt water will leave your skin feeling smooth and supple as it increases moisture retention. It rejuvenates the skin by detoxifying it and also helps with skin renewal! If you have dry and itchy skin, swimming in salt water may benefit you a great deal because it will keep it hydrated and stop it from becoming irritated.
Scoop out 1/2 table spoon of sea salt on drop it in a bowl, pour 1/4 cup of luke warm water and stir until the salt melts. Take a cotton pad, dip it in the liquid and spread all over your face. Don't rinse off right away! Let in soak in for about a minute. *You may feel a tingling sensation, but like my mother always said: 'beauty is pain!'
Have you ever let your skin dry after swimming in the ocean? Have you noticed the white film it leaves behind? That's what you'll want to see before you rinse off the salt residue on your face! Finish off with a cold splash to close your pores!
You'll find your skin feeling soft, supple and smooth (it also helps kill the bacteria from your zits!)
What you'll need:
1/2 tablespoon of sea salt
1/4 cup of luke warm water
cotton pad
Enjoy!
