This is going on my must-have list for skincare: Apple Cider Vinegar. It's amazing how it can pretty much fix everything!
One of the things I always struggle with is acne. It's a similar story I hear from a lot of woman: they had clear, smooth skin in high school but starting in their early 20s began to breakout like adolescents. Don't worry this is normal, there are plenty of remedys to help with this!
I'll be honest though, I have my days when I want to pull a paper bag over my head. But, over the years I've collected a few must-have ingredients that can help to avoid any paper bag moments!
What you'll need:
1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup of water
cotton ball/pad
Mix the apple cider vinegar and water together. Wet your cotton pad in the mixture and apply it all over your face, and concentrate on problem areas. Don't rinse it off, let it dry on your face. It may have a scent to it but it will disappear. If the smell bothers you, leave it on for 10-25 minutes until it had completely soaked into your skin and then wash off with warm water. *I personally love the smell of vinegar...it reminds me of chip wagons on a hot summer day! Fresh cut fries with malt vinegar and ketchup! *drooling
The natural goodness unblocks pores and allows skin to breathe properly, so it is very effective in treating acne and pimples. Apple cider vinegar doesn't just remove excess oil from your skin, but it also helps to balance your pH levels and can prevent your skin from becoming too oily or too dry by balancing the production of sebum.
Apple cider vinegar is strong stuff, it is very acidic and can irritate your skin. So it is best to dilute it with water before you apply it on your face. After a while, when your skin gets used to it, you can gradually increase the concentration of the apple cider vinegar. Always make sure to patch test (under your chin or inside your arm) before you put anything on your face. Most importantly, don't forget to apply moisturizer on afterwards!
I hope this helped. I can already feel the difference in my complexion after using this for 2 days! Let me know how it went for you.
Love,
Artifact Girl xo
