After wearing sandals all summer, your feet develops strong calluses and are most likely in need of some Tender Love and Care! Here is a great natural way to to treat yourself to a nice foot spa.
What you'll need:
1 bowl
1 callus scruber
1 towel
1 pair of socks
plastic wrap
olive oil
Here is the recipe for the Citrus Foot Soak mix:
1 cup of orange juice
3/4 cup of lemon Juice
1/2 cup of lime juice
1 cup of warm water (to help open up your pores)
*you can add fresh fruit slices/wedges in the mix to give a stronger scent & benefit from the natural oils from the peels
Let your feet soak for 15 minutes before you begin to scrub away the callused skin. Pat your feet dry. Next, pour oil onto your feet and rub them in and give them a nice massage. Wrap each foot with the plastic wrap and slip on your socks. Leave them on for another 1o minutes. Wash off excess oil with warm water. *note: take off the socks and wrap in your tub so you don't get any oil on your floors. Also, make sure to wipe your tub so you don't slip and fall when you take a shower ;)
The citric acid in the fruit (orange, lemon and lime) help soften the callused skin before you scrub it away. It also helps to eliminate toxins and relieve the pain of aching feet. Adding the nourishing olive oil will help to retain the softness your feet deserves! It truly feels wonderful!
